A larch chalet above the valley floor. Two fireplaces, one long table, and the Matterhorn from every window.
Chalet Verdet was built in 1967 by the Swiss architect Ines Okonkwo-Vidal for her family and sold, once, in 2004. It sits at 1,720 metres, on a south-facing shoulder above the village.
Five bedrooms, two of them in a small guest wing that can be closed for winter. A larch-lined living room with two fireplaces and a dining table made from a single tree felled on the property.
The residence is reached on foot in summer, by sled in winter — the last four hundred metres are not driveable.
